The OCH-85 is a very compact unit and is used to heat the oil in the cell to the required temperature. This uses a high frequency induction heater which raises the temperature up to 90 °C. A dial is provided to set the temperature to the required level. A temperature sensing probe is supplied which senses the temperature set by the user, then stops heating the oil once the preset temperature is reached. Two LEDs are provided to indicate when the heating process is on and when the heating has stopped. To ensure safety, there is a built-in micro-switch interlock which automatically trips out the high voltage when the cover of the heater is raised.
